I am going to build a box for the alpine type r 5th gen12 sealed around 0.85 cubic feet. I was wondering if any one has experience with the type r I have read some reviews and they don't look good. Also any suggestions on another 12 inch sub under $150?

I have 2 of the current generation Type R 12's and I love em. I also have a friend with 4 Type R 15's and they sound great to me and he has had no complains. I bought my 2 12's for $140 a piece.

New to the car audio world and looking to learn as much as I can.

I've had Rockford p3 12s before they are great but I'm not sure it would be much of a improvment

I worked with two type r 15's and they sounded pretty good, that volume sounds a little small but as a sealed enclosure i guess it should be ok.

soundqubed hds2 12. it is 600w but they generally need a larger ported box.

if you have the room and actually want to enjoy your type rs go with a big vented box one type r in a 2.5net vented box tuned to 30hz will be louder and sound better then 2 sealed. Trust me i know. I've had both.

Is that box to small for a ported 10" type r 5th gen? Tuned to 35hz. Also if its not is a 3 inch round port to small?
