Andrew Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 I searched the forum and couldn't find anything on this so I decided to start my own. Meade has his modded rockford amps... Just wondering, what was the original ratings on those and the ratings after being modded? I want to do that to my amp and wanted to know who will do a good job with it, any referencees for this type of work? By the way my amp is a Memphis MCD1000 - 1100 x 1 at 1ohm. Thanks, Andrew New project in the works

going deaf Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 "modding" an amplifier doesn't necessarally give you more power over the factory ratings, rather it lets you run the amp below rated ohm recommendations with more stability... noobs kthnxbi
