OrionStang Posted May 4, 2014 Report Share Posted May 4, 2014 My laptop has been running slow as shit all day today, and I keep getting (not responding) for numerous programs. Also, all sound has decided to quit as well. Just an hour ago, this fucking Homegroup icon appeared on my desktop. How did this program install itself without my approval? Could it be the cause of my computer running like shit? I doubt it, but could it affect my speakers? I'll probably just take it to Geek Squad, but still pissed that Windows sees it fit to just drop shit on personal computers without permission. Shits all jumpy, can't open more than a couple windows without the damn thing freezing for minutes before I can do anything. Figures the shit goes down the week I have Team lead on a school project. Closed all extensions and almost all plugins. Puter is back up to speed now. Oh, the Homegroup icon on my desktop disappeared just as mysteriously as it appeared. Thought it was the Homegroup thing because it popped up the same time the problems began. Anyway, would be nice if I had a choice to approve or deny updates before they automatically land on my computer.
