Bump4life
Hey all , I didn't see a thread regarding size of die to use when crimping using the 16 ton yellow hydro crimper off ebay. maybe this will help some. I am using the 70mm^2 to crimp KNU OFC KOLLOSUS 1/0 gauge, (similiar to a 2/0 weldign wire) using 2/0 tinned copper 2/0 lugs. it works well but i am curious if i should go smaller. If you all with experience could share what size dies you are using for: 8 gauge(not sure what weldign size): 4 gauge(not sure what welding size): 1/0 gague (2/0 welding): 2/0 gague (4/0 welding): thanks in advance -bump4life Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now. Whose tinned copper lugs did you use? I bought some lugs that were supposed to be 1/0 but I couldn't get all the Knu wire into the lug. I sent them back. I liked them though because the ring terminal part of the lug was not as wide as the SHCA and they were cheaper and I thought (hoped) they would crimp better. I've thought about trying the same brand 2/0 to see if it was a better fit Camaro SS Build Altima build 2.0 Altima build 1.

I've thought about trying the same brand 2/0 to see if it was a better fit I get my lugs from wireandsupply.com great copper tinned lugs. fits knu wire (2/0 lugs fit , 1/0 knu) make sure to get the closed end ones. and they are a reasonable price. im still seing which of thier lugs fits the smaller size wires. but i love the fact that they are tinned. same thickness as shca lugs but a little smaller. I was able to fit 4 jsut barely on my output post on my alt Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now. bigmizzle99
If you have a caliper, can you measure the inner diameter of the 2/0 lug for me? If not, not worries. Thanks for the heads up on these terminals. Camaro SS Build Altima build 2.0 Altima build 1.
