irnlve Posted May 31, 2014 Author Report Posted May 31, 2014 i am the proud new owner of 4 american bass 10" tnt subs! woot woot!!! amplifier will be a american bass vfl150
Joe X Posted June 1, 2014 Report Posted June 1, 2014 So this is just a sample design for a triple tuning box: Low tuning of 33.5Hz with two pipe plugged or Medium tuning of 38Hz with one pipe plugged or High tuning of 42Hz with all pipes open. TO NOTE, this is not a spl box since those are setup with a termlab and the parameters of the box are changed at test time. Your amp subsonic filter should be set no more than 5 Hz below tuning during the tests or thermal/mechanical failure of subs may occur. Also if you don't have proper power and gains properly set thermal/mechanical failure or amp damage can occur so be advised. Ports clearance 4" to the rear gate, measure and remeasure to make sure your clearance to both ends is right (4") , specially if you mod the ports length, pipe lengths need to be identical and placed in an identical way, this can be built in a removable module. You will need bracing top to bottom and front to back.
irnlve Posted June 1, 2014 Author Report Posted June 1, 2014 you are amazing joe! how can i thank you?
timc31610 Posted June 1, 2014 Report Posted June 1, 2014 I'm sure if you post pics of the build and vids when done it will be thanks enough. Or learn from JoeX's help and pass it on to someone else.
