Update

I checked my RCA voltage today, it was 1.2v so i turned the SW level up on the HU and reset my gains. I now got 4.7v but still going into protect. volume 28/30 and 70% on the Pac. slave amp just shuts off.

So, to me, its looking like the amp. I dont know what else it could be. The speaker inputs on the slave amp actually seem slightly "loose". like they wiggle when i tighten the setscrews.

New power/grounds

New fuses/holders

Proper RCA voltage.

Relay amp turn on added.

some strapped amps dont like particular brands of rca's.

I've been hearing that. I've already tried 2 different pairs for jumpers. no go.

Also, still don't explain the gain setting problem and output issue with that amp when running separate. Im really lost. If all else fails. after I get my new amps I will know for sure. I will have to take it somewhere to get some help. makes no sense to me.

People also say to check woofers impedence. but, whenever I put DMM on speaker wires (not in amp). i get numbers all over the chart. on both pairs. always did when i measure that way.

If second amp doesn't gain match like master it's probably bad

Dumb question. Did you use the "master" output to the "slave" input. You should only need one rca to strap. Not two

Yes. Only one single RCA. output of master to input of slave. I will do a few more tests today.
