Nealon14
I know some of you guys on here have some crazy electrical, but what is the lowest voltage you would play your music full tilt?. For someone new like me with no big 3 yet what voltage should i keep above? I notice on really heavy bass songs when i am parked my voltage can sometimes drop to 12.5v full tilt. When i am driving it rarely drops below 13.5v full tilt. i would like to know if 12.5v parked is acceptable if i am giving a quick demo to someone. ally
Once I drop to 11 volts I turn the system down but usually im around 13 to 14.2 volts constant full tilt
EP95
Start tippin below 12.5 is when I'd shut it of or turn it down.
rockFord_Expedition
Depends on how long you are talking. 12.5 most likely wont kill anything instantaneously, but it can wear things down shortening their life. You either have very stout stock electrical, or you aren't running very much power, or both. Do your big 3. ASAP. Alt pos to bat pos. Alt case to frame. Bat neg to frame. Nealon14
Yeah right now i am probably only running 1200 watts rms between my 2 amps. I am planning on buying some better amps and try to get away with 1500 watts rms for bass(Symphony S1500.1 ) and 500 watts for mids and highs(Symphony S800/4) 2k rms for a stock alternator. You making any power at all? or do you run 3 alts? Do you demo for 3 straight hours?.... or ? EDIT- I love to stay over 12v. But, it is hard, running some power....For more that 5 full songs, at full...
