Try starting your own thread and you will get more responses. You will also need to supply more information like max available space, amp you are running, what tuning you are looking for and so on. Would it be a considerable difference between two 12s or eight 8s on 4000w? 8 8" would have double the cone area as two 12's. Most likely the 8's will be noticeably louder. More diameter = easlier produced low frequencies vice versa. It all depends on the subwoofers though. An 8" with 28mm xmax will not be punchy like an Meso8/SA8 ect. If your trying to destroy lows then why not 4 12's? Slightly more cone area then 8 8's. It will also be louder then 8 8's on the same power.
