I to am a fan of Trey Gowdy. And i must say, if it wasn't for Fox news we wouldn't know much about all the Obama controversies. Most of the media is left wing bias. If the things that are happening now in this administration where to happen 30 yrs ago, Obama would be hung out to dry. And you could include Harry Reid, Susan Rice, Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden just to name a few.

Sad thing is our government has never been perfect. But now it has gotten totally out of control. A guy could go on and on with all the issues we have today. And the sad thing about it, history has shown us once it.s gets to that tipping point, there is no going back. Sadly, i think we have reached that tipping point.

On a side note their should be a test for voting for president, but we all know that will never happen.

i don't watch "mainstream media" or really any kind of news at all. What i do when someone starts to talk about politics is research more about them, ask around and get the opinions of both sides. I like logic and reason, So Obama isn't doing the best job he could be doing, but he isn't doing horrible either.

If there wasn't a system in place to stop Obummer from achieving total control you can bet your ass he would have no problem trying to form a dictatorship. Nothing this man has done has been for this country he has settled for things because he couldn't get away with more. If it was up to him we'd all be disarmed... The bill of rights would be disassembled and individualism would cease to exist. I don't know how you think ANY thing that bafoon has done is acceptable or even beneficial.. You're entitled to your opinion though so that's that

Why do so many people hate 'boma so much? i think he is doing a pretty good job so far.

I have multiple issues with the man, but my main one is the same reason I vote against his party at every turn. There are two ideas in today's society/government struggling for dominance.

1. Government's encroachment into people's lives should be minimal, each man should be responsible for his own well being and destiny, and differences in each person's living standard comes from the differences in their decisions and abilities.

2. Government should provide for the people, the masses need to be directed to their full potential, and differences in each person's standard of living are a result of inequities inherent in the system.

One of these ideals is the basis upon which America was formed, by men that came here from a monarchy, and had limited control over their own destinies. These men wanted to create a nation where each man had the same EQUAL chance to excel and reap the rewards of his hard work.

The other ideal borders on Socialism; a system in which you do not profit directly from your work, you are not given the ability to control your own destiny, and it is assumed you aren't smart enough to make your own decisions.

I don't vote for the party in favor of more regulation, more control, more taxes, and more intervention/oversight into my daily life. That is a step away from what our founding fathers created this nation to be, and it's a step towards what THEY REBELLED AGAINST when they revolted against the King.

I'm not a birther, or a tea party member. If anything, I'm a constitutionalist. I want the government to follow the rules laid out before them, and quit trying to endear themselves to more power by leveraging my tax dollars and the public purse strings to expand entitlement programs whose sole purpose is to BUY the votes of this country's poor.

That, in a nutshell, is why I'm not big on Obama. He is a liberal, a Democrat, and a closet socialist. End of discussion.

Your stance isn't unique.

Its rather cookie cutter, actually. Smoke is right, you are entitled to your opinion, but the statement "He isn't doing a bad job, either" is really unfounded, unresearched, and status quo with the other sheep following mainstream media. You say you're not "watching" the media, but you subconsciously follow the attitude prescribed to the people by them.

Benghazi isn't a phony scandal, it's very real. You can't be at the head of a cabinet that let Benghazi happen and be considered doing a "not so bad" job as the leader of the greatest country in the world.

We were that, at least.

Agreed. Benghazi isn't a phony scandal to the men that died, the patriots like me that served in the armed forces, nor the families of those men. It's very real and clear failure of public policy, and a string of poor decisions. Why did we not immediately stream all available units towards that location to protect our men? Those men were sacrificed at the alter of protecting Obama's credibility that he put a dent in terrorism. To have this go down and him admit his policies hadn't deterred Al Quiada would have been a political death sentence with an election coming up. Politics trumped his duty as president.

Benghazi aside, we're talking about the man that has expanded entitlement programs and the national debt more than any president in US history, and more than the last four presidents combined. He's sold away our children's financial well being and future to garner his party's power today. America is going to be so crippled by it's own debt by the time most of us retire, we'll barely recognize the country we grew up loving. The reason he and his party REFUSE to accept this as fact and fix it is because the second they step off their party line and slash entitlement programs, they are left without a voting base (the benefactors of SNAP, welfare, Medicare, Medicaid, ect.) What would posess them to give up such a reliable voting block of obedient followers fully dependant on goverment money to fix the problems of a country twenty years down the road when most of these men (that by the way take home more than four times the national salary) will be happily and securely retired?!

The Democrats, and liberals in power, and special interest groups funding them, are a cancer of this country. They have slowly, pervasively, diminished people's will to provide for themselves, and have penalized and demonized exactly the kind of entrepreneurial success this country once celebrated. "You didn't build that" ring a bell? Evil Wallstreet? Greedy bankers? They point the finger at anyone that has more money then their voting block, and say it's their fault they're poor. Very few people in this country that haven't been overseas have any concept what poverty truly is. I've seen families happy to live in a mud hut and scrape by a meager living, with no hope for the future except to feed their families, living in conditions that would make a vagrant in this country feel downright cozy. The Democrats insite class warfare to keep the simple minded people fighting amongst themselves and hating the rich, all the while THEY are the rich. It's insanity that people don't see this situation for what it is.

Not doing a bad job isn't enough. The man has stated he wanted to fundamentally change America, but not enough people popped their heads out of their asses to ask WHAT he wanted to change America into. A socialist state? A nanny state? A European style nation, with goverment control over everything, spying on it's own people, massive taxes levied upon the job producers of this country, ludicrous entitlement programs that diminish the insentive to provide for one's self, and a balance sheet so deep in the red it wouldn't know what balanced looked like if it absorbed the GDP of four or five other countries? He and his party are suceeding, and sometimes I think I'm the only one that's awake and gets it.
