hazestorm23 Posted May 18, 2014 Report Posted May 18, 2014 How is it all hooked up? Head unit to factory amp? And how did you hook up the other amp
rsfm089 Posted May 18, 2014 Author Report Posted May 18, 2014 my friend had to by a specail harness to hook up the head unit so i dont know if its hooked up to the factory amp. the aftermarket amp is hooked up normal power ground rcas and remote.
xxgokouxx Posted May 18, 2014 Report Posted May 18, 2014 I would find out why your amp's shorting out the head unit first... Essentially yes. I did it on mine's too. Make sure you buy a FUSE TAP, and not just shove wires in there. https://www.google.com/#q=fuse+tap
Travis Retrum Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 I wouldn't use a fuse tap ether unless u get one that replaces the fuse otherwise u are going to bend the tabs that hold the fuse in place and that's never good. If u can locate a wire with power that turns on and off and solder the remote wire to that it is a much better connection and much more reliable
rsfm089 Posted May 22, 2014 Author Report Posted May 22, 2014 Sorry should of said something sooner. Found a fuse tap that had a adapter that keep the original fuse and then added a line on even came with the crimp able end. Thanks for all the help
