85 Monte Carlo Kicker beginner build.

Make your own kick panels. I did & it was my first attempt and they turned out pretty good. Getting ready to tackle my doors next and add a 8" midbass driver to each. Heres how mine turned out.

So i want some 8" midbass in the map pockets and possible in rear doors as well. Redo front doors to bring the T3s out and angled right with 8s would look badass.

Cool, i am no pro but learned a shit ton on here the last three years and still trying to improve my ride. Its an addictive hobby!

Definetly doing some work bud atleast you're trying not just being ignorant about it as for the equipment it's not bad at all may not be underground brand as many would love to see but it's yours and if done right can sound amazing ..... Definetly building your own enclosure will get you louder and clearer (if done correctly) as opposed to a prefab ..... But none the less do work bud we all started just like you ..... Don't recall reading about any of us who came out our mothers already knowin car audio we all learned one way or another just keep reading and be very open to suggestions as there are wayy too many people on here who are more than willing to help and mentor as well as some constructive criticism you never know just may teach us a little something ..... Specially since not all of us have worked with this specific car and know exactly what works and doesn't ..... Again welcome to the car audio never ending addiction I'm tuned in ..... Sorry for the long essay is definetly get an F for grammar lol

Thanks, I've been looking into some of the brands people use on this forum. Already planning a build for another vehicle I don't even have yet lol. I wish it was easier to find prices to compare.

Yeah I can't seem to find a whole lot of builds with g-body's. Not sure what to do with subwoofers yet. I'll just leave them in the prefab for now.

Well... an update. Progress will be slow for a while.

I got stabbed in the abdomen a few times almost 8 years ago. I now need surgery to fix something. Nothing major, but I have to be off work for 1.5 months. This will effect my funds drastically ( I was working ~56hrs/wk).

I wanted to get a few cheap, easy things for the moment so I ordered a blue 16ft LED strip and everything needed to wire it all up. So my only progress for a while will be installing the LED strips.

I had very good intentions to put in some work today, paint a few things/get my side panels in the trunk finished today. I had very little motivation so I grabbed a 5th of Captain Morgan and a 12 pack of Bud Light bottles. I wanted to start with a few minor defects/chips in my paint, and paint some parts under my hood. I took everything I needed outside ( to further my motivation). Began drinking, touch ups here and there. Planned on spraying my rear wheel wells with rubberized black paint, got one done.. . Got a very nice buzz and decided that the trunk panels were too much work. I decided to put everything up before I didn;t feel like it lol

Thank's, but I give credit to the camera hiding my faults and shortcuts. Being a novice, on a cash and time budget, with impatience, overpowers my OCD lol. Living in a small town without parts readily available doesn't help either.
