kjvsop
I have 2 pairs of Kicker KSC693 3-Way 6x9 RMS 150 4ohm http://www.crutchfield.com/S-BueQuqe3ZgY/p_20641K6934/Kicker-KSC693.html?tp=91#details-tab I want to connect them to my Kicker ZX650.4 RMS 120x4 @ 4ohm or 160x4 @ 2ohm http://www.crutchfield.com/S-NnuAntGaGRp/p_2061ZX6504/Kicker-11ZX650-4.html#details-tab Should I wire each pair of 6x9's to 2ohm's? Two 4 ohm speakers = 2 ohm load Is it safe to wire them like that? I want to get the most power from my amp, but I don't want to have any problems. EP95
Seems that it'll put out more power with 1 a channel 4 ohms-120w's a speaker 2 ohms- 80w's a speaker with 2 channels left out.
Noel989
I would wire each speaker to its own channel So you can get a stereo (left and right) and not a mono signal If you have to wire them together the way your diagram is your going to wired at 8ohms To get a 2 ohm just wire them all positives to positives and negatives to negatives Click the link for a wiring diagram But I wouldn't do it Edit You have 2 sets or 4 sets? (not all 4 together) I would like to see 160 watts per speaker by bridging each side but I'm confused about my amp. I guess what I'm beginning to understand is that each channel is 2 ohm stable. But not 2 ohm stable when bridged? 120 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms (160 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms) 325 watts RMS x 2 bridged at 4 ohms (4-ohm stable in bridged mode) Thanks. I guess I am going to wire them each to their own channel. kjvsop
From the manual. FOUR CHANNEL OPERATION minimum impedance of 2 ohms per channel BRIDGED OPERATION (MONO) minimum impedance of 4 ohms http://www.kicker.com/sites/default/files/2011%20ZX%20350.4%20650.4%20RevC.pdf Well that kinda sucks. That's why I went with these 6x9's that could handle 150RMS. I could have saved like 100 bucks. OrionStang
You have a 4 channel amp and 4 speakers, right? Why are you making this difficult? SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

Sutliff
You have a 4 channel amp and 4 speakers, right? Why are you making this difficult? Apparently there is a confusion between "Stereo" & "Mono" ... & the type of sound output each sounds like? IDK, ... ya got me ...
