Do you run below rated impedance??

I'm running a fosgate bd1001 to a single kicker l7 fifteen @1ohm right now in a four door Ford ranger 01 ...1 fared cap 1 gauge wire..Pioneer cd 8700?...and got the gain about half up and that beeaachh. bangs...amp never gets even warm....

running strapped 1400.1 .5 each right now. when the exo 15 gets in I'll do .25 for burps.

there's a huge difference in These amps from 1ohm to .5! huge increase!

actually just the other day i was showing my Lil bro how ohms effected amps. i have dual 4 ohm subs. i ran them up to 16ohms strapped so 8ohms at each amp. played for him. went down to 2 ohms played then 1 then .5. it blew his fragile little mind how just moving wires around could make my system almost silent @8 ohms then painful @.5.

trying to explain it to him was even more painful!

but with my next set up I'll run 1ohm daily (sad face) and when i wanna get crazy I'll.run @.25

I ran my 8k at .33 a few months ago at a show and it was wanging hard. She got nice and warm after a few songs and I backed off. After the show put her back at 1ohm for daily.

as far as hurting your gear by running lower ohms, you have take box rise into effect. so your amp is still running lower but not as low. my amps dont get a lil warm at .5. i feel more thej p

1 used to run 1 ohm on 1 ohm amps, added another amp and now run them at 1.33 ohms. Run my A/B class amps at 4 ohms stereo or 8 ohms. I don't run 4 ohms bridged or 2 ohms stereo.

I run my 2 Sundown 1500's at .5 each daily, they seem to take it quite well

First time I ever ran below stable was when I wired my MB Quart FX1.600 to 1 ohm(2ohm stable), it hated me and the protect light would play like a clip light on a bass knob lol

Though sometimes I wish to up power and impedence for daily, below stable eats voltage for breakfast
