Ahmed Johnson Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 They're more expensive than soundqubed that's for sure.
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 You know what decided the 40hz and 1000hz test tone? The power cube, look it up. Its how all amps have been rated for the past i dont know 20+ years now.... I think depending on the version of it it costs $15,000 plus. 40hz is fine! I have NO problem with that frequency whatsoever. But then who decided a rising 40 hz sine wave decides the power of an amplifier? Is there some law I'm unaware of that says that the AD-1 certified tests determines the power of an amplifier? well you asked, so I stated the facts, as well as what has been using those 2 frequencies for over 20 years "I think sometime in the 80's was the first powercube".. Sir, they use 40 hz, but do they use a certified type test? I HIGHLY doubt it.BUT, we are going to find out. I'm going to be getting a T2500 to put on the dyno. My bet is that its birthsheet will line up with dynamic tests and not certified tests. Now I very well could be wrong, and we have not tested one before. Would you like to venture a guess whether their power cube testing will line up with the certified or dynamic test on the dyno? It doesn't matter if the birth sheet number is dynamically because it's not what the amp is rated at and I'll put money that amp does rated on certified. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

So is that certified, or dynamic? Broke_Audio_Addict Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 The thing is the t2500 is rated 2500 at 1 ohm the birth sheet is not it's rating it's the max power the got when testing the amp. If it was dynamically or certified well your going to find out but it's not it's rating. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
Kyblack76 Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 to me, the 2500 would be more of a cert rating the birth sheet would be dynamic .... SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 to me, the 2500 would be more of a cert rating the birth sheet would be dynamic .... I would probably guess the same but we all know damn well that amp is going to do at least rated in certified mode. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

If it was dynamically or certified well your going to find out but it's not it's rating. My birth sheet says actual power and RMS power on it, both are 3400 watts. How is this not what they're rating my amp for? to me, the 2500 would be more of a cert rating the birth sheet would be dynamic .... Seems weird they wouldn't pick a method of testing and stick to it consistently...considering they don't advertise the birthsheets, it's not advantageous to use a different test for the birthsheet. Broke_Audio_Addict Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 You know what the rated power is, I think you just feel the need to be right about everything. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
