Christopher Talbot
Sub amp-http://www.soundqubed.com/Q1-1200D-Amplifier_p_30.html 4 channel amp-http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-GM-D8604-4-Channel-Bridgeable-Amplifier/dp/B00E1BRITU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1402420405&sr=8-1&keywords=pioneer+gm-d8604 You will be able to get both those amps for the $400 budget you have. And there is nothing wrong with obsidian subwoofers, they are a great value. Will the sub amp handle the eventual second 12 that i add later? Also is anybody familiar with SKAR Audio amplifiers? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_71674_SKAR-Audio-LP-1000.1D.html or http://www.sonicelectronix.com/cat_m1137_i23_skar-audio-monoblock-amplifiers.html

russ7000
if your going to do hifinics go with brutus 2000+ series... But they are power hungry and you better be ready to do a big 3 upgrade later on... id say save another $200 and get a qty $400 amp.. sub-q, rockford, kicker 1200.0... and yes i said kicker amp they got some decent power and get the job done.... your not gone blow anyone doors off but you will get a good mid range system ..... Terra Rysing
Lol at the person that recommended focal for this application. I would recommend 1200-1500 watt amp. Skar 1400.1 gets my vote.

What is the problem with Focal? And how does Skar rate over them? And there is a thing known as saving to increase a budget, money doesn't have to leave your hands as soon as you get it.
