Jessica
couldnt you replace one of the alternators mounting bolts with a bolt on idler pulley? Its pretty damn tight in there, water pump is in the way. I'm telling you, try the bar of soap idea. It wont hurt anything. Just start the car, while running hold the bar of soap against the belt, both sides and the under belly. Tried that today, ti helped some. I sprayed some engine degreaser on the belt and pulleys too. I may have it stopped but not sure. I know when i start the car now it stumbles pretty hard when the alt kicks on. Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. Jessica
couldnt you replace one of the alternators mounting bolts with a bolt on idler pulley? With some fabricating I think I can actually do that. I think I just got frustrated with it. 4 belts and 3 brackets will do that to a guy.
