Box Design, I Need Asap

Recommended Posts

49W X 17T X 20D

port is 15.5T X 5.50W X 13.75L

Subs rear firing as far to driver side as possible and port rear firing on pass side.

just so im clear...its going to be 49 <---> that way

17 up and down

20 deep

then port is going to be 15.5 tall, 5.5 wide, and go into the box 13.75 inches?

also when u say subs as far over, thats like right touching, and is that rear firing like subs?

yes....to all your questions. Subs dont have to be touching but you want as much room as possible between them and the port.

ok and for bracing, i was just gonna use some 2x4's, one up and down, front to back, and side to side, will that interfeer with the box too much? and what about anything on the corners, what should i do there??.... fiberglass and resin is out of the question, i have NO idea how to do that

Nothing in the corners, no resin, and no bracing unless you are using more than 2000 watts. Maybe 1 2X4 from front to back between the 2 subs.

they will only be gettin 2500 rms... so ok, just 1 2x4 in between, that makes it easier...thanks a TON for all your help

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)

holy crap, how did that box work, being as the port is half the box....also this combo will put the back of the box against the back seat, and fire the subs and port at the back of the truck...right?

 no I wouldn't worry about breaking a window latch. You'll know when your loud enough to break things when you get there ;)
