I would go singer. Made me a 340 amp alt for my 2000 mountaineer and I luv it. Kickass customer service.

I could only find a 160amp, and a 180 amp direct fit for my car from anyone. So i pushed a little harder on mechman and they offered an "S" class 240 amp.

I had to make a new alt bracket and tensioner and am going to add an idler pulley to get good belt wrap.,

If you are willing to pull your hair out to make it work, then explain to them that you are open to making a new bracket and see if they can offer a suitable replacement.

good luck

That's for a '92, but pretty sure 91-95 were the same (so says Google anyway). Call DC to make sure, but they should be able to hook you up.

"Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. It's like witchcraft... it automatically explains just about everything people don't understand.

your car is going to be limited to a small case alternator. that means in reality the most you can expect is around 180 HOT at most out of a hairpin. anyone selling you more for more money is lying to you or giving you a cold peak rating. unless DC power can make you a large case that is a direct bolt on the most you will get is 160-180 hot out of a hairpin. make sure you get what you pay for. singer or dc power should be able to take care of you.
