alaskanzx5
After fixing the oil pan gasket wash your engine bay really good. Drive it for a day and if there is more oil there is a leak still. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. Call Me Dubstep
Well after about 4 hours work of fixing the oil pan gasket over 2 days... i got it running this morning, fresh oil and oil filter with new exhaust gaskets, and fixed 2 problems i had, the exhaust leak and the oil leak. I haven't seen oil being burnt which caused the smoke, smoked at first but then went away because it was burning off the oils and stuff i had gotten on the exhaust before. Hopefully this fixes the oil leak. 2000 Ford Focus ZX3 Mods: Raceland Coilovers Borla Exhaust Aftermarket Header System: Sony CDX-GT66UPW Pioneer 6x8's System Upgrades : Pioneer MVH-X560BT 2 sets of Rockford Fosgate P1683's Fi Audio Q 18" D2 ( Currently Own) DD M1C ( Currently Own) All SHCA Wires and stuff... Call Me Dubstep
Yeah hopefully. I also found out that it doesn't have a catalytic converter, lol. Good thing I don't need emissions where I live, Not yet at least... Now I have to give the wheels a good wash, while I was under the car, I found oil on the inside of the wheel. So its time to clean it for the second time this month anyways.. 2000 Ford Focus ZX3 Mods: Raceland Coilovers Borla Exhaust Aftermarket Header System: Sony CDX-GT66UPW Pioneer 6x8's System Upgrades : Pioneer MVH-X560BT 2 sets of Rockford Fosgate P1683's Fi Audio Q 18" D2 ( Currently Own) DD M1C ( Currently Own) All SHCA Wires and stuff... Call Me Dubstep
So today... I drove about 5 miles From home... Thought my car's oil leak was fixed... well it came back... backed into the driveway and this white smoke came into the cabin.... and an awful smell of burning oil came along with it... I was looking around online and people say it can be caused by a leaky valve cover gasket... Not sure... The smoke is coming out from the left rear... I really could use some help solving this problem... :/ I really just want it fixed... 2000 Ford Focus ZX3 Mods: Raceland Coilovers Borla Exhaust Aftermarket Header System: Sony CDX-GT66UPW Pioneer 6x8's System Upgrades : Pioneer MVH-X560BT 2 sets of Rockford Fosgate P1683's Fi Audio Q 18" D2 ( Currently Own) DD M1C ( Currently Own) All SHCA Wires and stuff... boom50cal
I had a similar issue on my volvo. Turned out to be a bad cam gear seal/VVT unit. Cam gear seal is cheap, labor is a bitch. Is there a line of oil on the bottom side of the hood? Another thing, since it's nearing 100k on the motor, it may be time to due some 100k maintence like water pump, timing belt, tensioners, blah blah. Since I wiped it off when I replaced the oil pan gasket... I haven't had a problem with smoke or anything until today... Other wise, there has been no oil on the hood... but what i have seen is oil on the inside of both of the front rims. 2000 Ford Focus ZX3 Mods: Raceland Coilovers Borla Exhaust Aftermarket Header System: Sony CDX-GT66UPW Pioneer 6x8's System Upgrades : Pioneer MVH-X560BT 2 sets of Rockford Fosgate P1683's Fi Audio Q 18" D2 ( Currently Own) DD M1C ( Currently Own) All SHCA Wires and stuff... Also When I opened the hood smoke came from the back side of the passenger side of the engine. 2000 Ford Focus ZX3 Mods: Raceland Coilovers Borla Exhaust Aftermarket Header System: Sony CDX-GT66UPW Pioneer 6x8's System Upgrades : Pioneer MVH-X560BT 2 sets of Rockford Fosgate P1683's Fi Audio Q 18" D2 ( Currently Own) DD M1C ( Currently Own) All SHCA Wires and stuff...
