That's also the same type of setup I want to run. 2 15s on 5k. it can happen.. the fact is, is there is some change here in ALT .. this is where we are at now, with Bryan's build. SINGER is trying to make one work, after 2 mechmans that failed from heat and other issues. This platform IS HARD to make loud with mucho power that said, we ran that DC 5k 2 3100's stock alt....at .7 for months.... OH it got HOT.. but... its still wanging. He sold the amp and is going with a populus 6500, and again, is in talk with a alt builder to try and get one that will work. That is where we are at...... wish you luck on your end. I don't know about .7 though, I will have another battery than what you guys did so I might be fine lmao we had a 3400 up front, and 2 3100's in the back with the stock alt.. dc 5k wired down to .7 we saw voltage that was low.. but nothing that wouldnt make me keep going.. that said, ill let him talk on the mechman ALT deal... that.. that was before i met him. we are in talks with another maker now.... and even he said it may be a bitch... Pcm makes a vehicle more fuel efficient as I understand. But don't hold me to it. Pulled all the carpet up and ran both to the back. The negs I ran from the sub frame in the rear. There is also just enough room for two gotta dig but it's behind the plastic on the ds. You really did that? that looks so sketchy to me running wire in there. Seems to small to run 2 1/0 through there. How did you even get the grommet off that attaches on the inside of the engine back to the fire wall? As for the alt on the older models, they're a pain in the ass. I have a 300 Amp Excessive Amperage on mine, took 8 hours to get the stock one out and the new one on.
