audiofanaticz Posted June 27, 2014 Report Share Posted June 27, 2014 Turn up the subwoofer preout volume on the radio if there is one. If its turned down chances are your sending almost no voltage to the amp via the RCA cords, which means your amp is not putting out anywhere close to the power it should most likely. There is no way the amp is set at MAX gain, unless something is screwed up or not set right. I have a hard time believing that your dual deck only puts out 125-250mV or less on the RCA preouts, because with the gain is set on max on your amplifier thats all the voltage going into it from the RCAs. Thats 1/4th of 1 volt RCA preouts, or even less depending on what setting you have selected for the input level on the side of your amp. So check to see if you have a subwoofer volume on your radio, if you do turn it up. Try changing the input selection on the side of the amp from 250mV-10Volt setting to the 125mV-5Volt setting. Its a little push button switch, push it in for high level input, or have it out for the low level input setting which is what you want. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I just went from a Kenwood kds355u witch clipped at 29/ and gain on amp was just about 1/2 way up. Now I have pioneer avh-x3500bhs witch clipped at 35. same amp and now can set my gain at just about 3/4 way u. Set with DD1 01 focus se 110 amp alt Big 3 sky high and stinger hpm ofc 1/0 Super start platinum AGM (starting) 2 runs of 1/0 Execution audio front to back Kenwood double DIN DDx271 A pillars- orion 4" super tweeter and 2-1" alpines. HC18 Posted June 28, 2014 Author Report Share Posted June 28, 2014 The amp is now on the left side of the box so wires arent showing, i was building a box but my buddy sold me that one for $70 it luckily has perfect specs for the subwoofers.
