Test: 2 Kicker Cvr 15s

Recommended Posts

Here's our new test setup. Its a pair of Kicker cvr 15s in 6ft w/ four 4" aeros. Currently its tuned to 49hz but with an easy swap to longer ports that can change to anything we want. This will be tested in my Explorer tomorrow but it was built with a universal size to also allow it to easily fit into bangin's Altima so we'll be testing them in there sometime as well. The goal is a 147 off a single Sundown 1500d and a 150 from a pair. The subs are dual 2s so they will be tested w/ a single amp at 0.5ohm, 2 amps @ 1ohm each, and a pair strapped @ 0.5ohm (0.25ohm each). I'll post the results tomorrow w/ more pics and in-depth details.

I got some play time with a meter this week and hit a 150.4 with 2 CVR 15's and a RF1500.1 @ 1ohm, it was about all they could handle, but they handled it.

EDIT: box is 8 cubes @ 37hz

good deal on that 150. This setup is in no way meant to play music. Burping for numbers is are goal.... :)

Yup, just let me know when you're leaving and I'll meet you. Might have to leave here 4-5am but I'm up for it....

Around 8 to 9, do you still have to pick up a rider.

No riders for me on this trip. Will have an empty seat on the way down if you know anybody that needs a ride .... but ... I'm going to spend a few extra days in FL to visit family so I can only offer a one way ticket.

I think I95 is about 3 hours from here...
