Krakin Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 /thread Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

To the OP, Been there done that & all i am going to say is listen to this man right here. You want something low for your taste? That sp4&3500 will have you gagging on your own saliva. Trust me on that,i have two of them on one sub. Atleast buy the amp first so you can blow that tonka toy sub to bits at 25hz.
slowfkncar Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 so yeah thanks for posting those links that is some quality stuff there Just buy a quality amp and some electricals like the ram alt & a dual battery setup. Use your sub for now. Im willing to bet you would be happy with the sq2200.1 on your re. The thing about tuning low with a standard ported, means you are going to need some serious power to make things happen at those frequencies. Your gonna have to drive the sub close to maximum excursion at tuning which is hard to do with low powered amps. Best of luck to you.
