Welding wire is fine, so you got 1 dual 4 huh well your not wired at 1ohm. Your either wired at 2ohm or 4ohm. If you want to be wired to 1ohm then you need a dual 2

2 dual 4s will go to 1ohm but not 1

Yellow top and red top, doesn't matter. I don't like optima

How do you do the big 3 how hard is it?

not that hard. took me an hour because i was drunk and i soldered everything and shrink wrap. get 0 gauge from your:

+alternator to + battery

-frame/chassis to - battery

-engine block to - battery

remember to ground your amps to your frame/chassis rather than the body. the body is paper thin and not that great of a ground.

I agree with most of this except. It should be engine block to chassis.

sorry guys but the engine block is not a very good ground

the engine is held by little RUBBER mounting feet

Running a ground from the block to the frame or battery negative, or both, is essentially a ground upgrade for the alt. Has nothing to do with motor mounts.

10 volts what the fuck man.

get rid of that garbage cap.

upgrade to AGM batteries.

do the big 3.

stop playing full tilt while idling.

tune gains properly.

dont use bassboost.

upgrade your amp wiring.

surprised that woofer hasn't given out yet.

edit: to answer your question as to why it only worked well for four days, is because something got fucked up.

most shops suck at tuning unless they use a real piece of equipment like an oscilloscope or a dd-1. if they just "turn knobs" or "do it by ear" then get your god damn money back or ask how they do it before you even give them money.

Kranny, like what could've got messed up? Cap probably quit charging since it's shitty. And I'm gonna run my power directly to amp today an check it out.

could be lots of things. wiring. the voice coils. the amp. burnt stuff.

NOT what I needed to hear. I'm still in highschool, working 80 hours a week this summer to pay for phone, car insurance, and things I want! It sucks! Can barely find time to mess with my system but I'll have to tweek on it a lot. I realllllly do not need it to be anything burned up.
