New W7 sub setup, Need Help!

So have had a single 10W7 with the JX1000/1d for about a year now after playing it way too loud blew it up and paid 120 to get the voice coil rebuilt. So afterward my thinking is upgrade to 2 of these babies and problem solved... After some more thinking shot of an email to JL while waiting on a custom box to be delivered wondering if the amp is ok for the two. Their response is the JX isn't designed to run at what would be 1.5 ohms or close to it. So now the question is

1. Are they just upselling me on the hd or slash

2. Would I be better off buying another JX since i have one already

3. If i do upgrade to the HD would the 750/1 of the 1200/1 be more appropriate (don't want to under power but at the same time don't want to blow these guys up)

Thanks for any replies want to do my system right but damn JL as much as i love them this system is getting expensive

Nope. They are not upselling you. The JX is a 2ohm amp.

If you have to stick with JL... get the HD1200. Or maybe find a used Slash 1000/1

Why stock with jl? Ya there good amps but overpriced.

jl 1200/1. i understand why you'd wanna stick with JL because its hard to gauge where an amp is going to perform at 1.5 ohms. a sundown saz 1500 would probably have similar output at 1.5 ohms. Im gonna run 2 1200s to my 13s. They are small and fit anywhere. def a good amp. just expensive as shit.

i wouldn't buy another jl amp... ever!.better (much better) to be had for cheaper

i have a hard time believing that a jx 1000w blew a w7 in a year on correct.gain and eq settings!

my brother in law had a jl w7 12 on a zapco 9.0 (if you know that amp....I'm Very sorry) for 3 years and it was fine! crashed his car sold the gear and both sub and amp are being used to This day subs got to be 5 years old now.

the zapco amp would slaughter that jl amp... any jl amp... any 2 jl amps!
