dsw422
Ok, So my buddy has a 2011 f150 XLT supercrew truck. He wants to keep his factory headunit since it has ford's SYNC. He wants to add an amp for his highs and add an amp for 2 kicker 10s for underneath back seat. Question is... What is best way to add the RCAs needed for the amps? I kno he will need some sort of line output converter. But should he order 3 2channel converters or a 4 channel and a 2 channel?? Next is where to hook up the converters? right before the speaker or behind head unit? He is trying to do this for as cheap as possible.. Please keep this in mind. Also, if anyone knows the factory speaker ratings, that would be really helpful.. Thanks guys.. 2014 Ford Focus SE Sedan Factory Sony 10 Speaker Sound System 1994 Ford Bronco Dual head unit (i kno) Sony door speakers Kenwood Rear Speakers Custom Center console in the works. will house an NVX NSW10" https://m.facebook.com/WinnsCustomCarAudio/
Robert8252
I use a JL Cleansweep off the front channels in my 2013 f150. No noise and a strong clean signal. They run $150-250. Audio control also has a Lc6 I think that does a similar job. Basic LOC are junk IMO. 2013 F150 Crew Cab Old Build Log Feedback 2013 F150 Equipment - Some Awesome Stereo Sound Making Stuff
dsw422
those are quite a bit out of his budget.. I was on sonicelectronics.com and found nvx 4 channel and 2 channel converters.. i've heard great things about nvx and wonder if these will be ok.. I also need to know if i can splice the same set of speaker wires twice(once for one of the 4 channels, and once for the sub channel)? If not, where do i splice to get the sub channel(2 channel converter)? Thanks for the help. 2014 Ford Focus SE Sedan Factory Sony 10 Speaker Sound System 1994 Ford Bronco Dual head unit (i kno) Sony door speakers Kenwood Rear Speakers Custom Center console in the works. will house an NVX NSW10" https://m.facebook.com/WinnsCustomCarAudio/

dsw422
I have also found this idea.. i was reading one of the reviews on the nvx 2 channel converter, it sed he used the NVX EQ. It has 4 channel input and 6 channel output.. with 7 band eq. I'd use the nvx 4 channel converter behind the head unit, run the rcas to center console where EQ would possibly b installed. Then run all channels to the amps.. How does this sound?? i like the idea of the EQ personally.. here is the eq i was looking at.. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_46587_NVX-XEQ7.html 2014 Ford Focus SE Sedan Factory Sony 10 Speaker Sound System 1994 Ford Bronco Dual head unit (i kno) Sony door speakers Kenwood Rear Speakers Custom Center console in the works. will house an NVX NSW10" https://m.facebook.com/WinnsCustomCarAudio/

islandpride684
Does it have the Sony system? If so then the LOC's that you want to get will not work...you need a processor that will sum the signals like the one Rob mentioned...if he is on a budget then audiocontrol is the way to go...something like LC6i....
