Christopher Talbot
Cars small but the bass is BIG.. just how I like it.. XS POWER D1200 up front, XS POWER BIG 3 completed, full Sky High Audio Cable 1/0 run throughout entire car with 3 sealed batteries in parallel in the rear for now with a Hifonics 2400.1D Zeus Amplifier pushing 2 Obsidian 12v3's. I want to eventually run 4. Custom built box tuned to 33.77 hertz top firing back ported.. I have a CT Sounds 1400.1D amplifier in route should be here wednesday to replace the hifonics and then next week ill probably order another 1400.1D aswell... They don't make an alternator for my car yet so the batteries will suffice the 3 in the back aren't audio specific batteries but there from a quality supplier and i got an incredible deal on them they retail for 200 each I picked up 6 of them for 200 from a really good friend who was trying to patent the first electric powered motorcycle, the batteries were collecting dust so he gave me a hell of a deal. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Updated 8/11/2014 - Pictures Below Removed the two Obsidian 12 inch subwoofersBuilt a new box made of Birch this time, faceing and ported into the cabin. Double baffle. Sold the Hifonics Amplifier Added CT Sounds 1400.1D Mono Block Amplifier. Added 2 CT Sounds EXO 12 D1 1 Ohm Subwoofers.

Christopher Talbot
Im ordering fat matt on friday for sure, yesterday we spent the day bracing the box and carpeting it ill post up pics in awhile, we didnt realize the top firing was going to make that big of a difference but them obsidians must be throwng down 80 pounds of force cause i was hear a bad rattle on certain notes and hard pounds and we looked and seen the inner port had completely ripped away so we have to put two braces inside the port itself, that didnt fix it so we had to brace the top plate aswell in two spots but now it slams and sounds great, we recalked it and im slowly destroying my car at this point even my hood shakes uncontrollably on most decaf songs.. these obsidians are probably the best bang for your buck sub around 178 shipped.. id take that over a 1k JL anyday... Christopher Talbot
I just demoed my subs to a mobile painter that works for our company he said he couldnt breathe and he never saw subwoofers move the back of a car much as mine did, kid was totally impressed.. the top firing subs literally make all the plastic plating in my back window jump, the entire thing and my back window flexs its so cool to see locals that are used to hearing walmart kickers or l7's instead of feeling and seeing real subs in action..
