You can wire the coils and subs in series for a final load of 5.6Ω.

Wire each sub parallel. Each sub will be .7ohm in box. Then wire outside of box series and will bring you subs to 1.4 ohm final. Or vic versa the wiring. Series in the bos then parallel outside.

If you have one subwoofer that is a dvc 1.4ohm, yes you can wire to 2.8 ohms. If you have two subs with dvc 1.4 then you can wire them both up to 5.6ohm or down to 1.4ohm

2_2ohm_dvc_8ohm.gif this is just an example, dont worry that it shows dvc 2ohm , wire like this and you will get the 5.6ohm load your looking for.
