Charger
How's the ride with it being that low in the rear? Any bottoming out? Like any low car really, drive it to the conditions, parts of the exhaust is around 1" off the road (seriously), next are the chassis rails which are around 2" or so off the ground. If you're careful of how you drive something, you'll be fine. I've actually had lower cars than this haha The only good thing to do to American Bass junk Previous 150+ daily rides: Volvo 240 wagon 2 x DD Audio 9915s walled, Isuzu Trooper 6 x DD Audio 3515s walled clamshell, Lexus LX470 2 x Kicked Solo X 18s, Lexus LS400 4 x American Bass HD18 walled SMD - System of The Month August 2008 My Youtube Videos

Charger
Thank you guys Well here we go for the recones First step, cut out all the old American Bass garbage Fold back the cone, cut out the spiders, all pretty self explanatory. I managed to salvage one woofer by carefully unpicking the glue on the surround and spider setup, so I can keep it for a 'worst case spare' Here you can see clearly how the American Bass coils failed If you look closely, it looks like they have a fiver spider suspension, not actually too bad This is the tricky part, trying to get all the jammed coil windings out of the gap without snapping them and then having it stuck in there. A bit of patience and it comes out, lots and lots of copper Now I can go ahead and unscrew the spider sandwich plate, which is screwed down and a little bit of glue underneath, it came apart easy. The new recones will be glued down, very solid A pic of the spider plate, and old connection leads etc. The bare basket and motor assembly Now I must clean off all the old glue/paint/soft parts and prepare the surface for the glue. a bit of patience and an angle grinder with a flap disc does the trick Basket all cleaned up, and also spider landing area clean too I didn't want any affiliation with American Bass on my subs, so the logo must go! A little bit bumpy, but it'll be fine A quick coat of paint, this colour is bad ass, copper brown with a purple flip All four of the subs chillin, ready to recieve their new bits... Thanks guys More very shortly Previous 150+ daily rides: Volvo 240 wagon 2 x DD Audio 9915s walled, Isuzu Trooper 6 x DD Audio 3515s walled clamshell, Lexus LX470 2 x Kicked Solo X 18s, Lexus LS400 4 x American Bass HD18 walled SMD - System of The Month August 2008 My Youtube Videos
RossGo
Are you going to reuse the sandwich plate or go with adhesive only? Yes I have a lot of stereo weight.
