4bannger
okay so ive been working on a few designs i wanna do a wall behind my second row seats so a "C" pillar walls. I know 4th orders have more more potential to get louder as far as spl goes. I've seen a few people run the e series subs in 4th orders but some say they are no suited for a 4th order. Would a 4th order work for the e series info- subs: 4 sundown e15's vehicle: 2004 toyota sequoia location in vehicle : behind second row, c pilar box type: walled 4th order or ported wall amp: ta1.3000d This is a design concept. greezychef
Please do it. Great idea. Somewhat "budget" wall. Great potential to actually slam. Sorry I couldn't offer any knowledge, just encouragement

RooTxBeeR
I wanted to look up their T/S specs to check if they will work in a 4th but sundows page won't work right. EBP = 1/Qes * Fs Now that you have you EBP, you know what your speaker is suitable for! If the EBP is 100 or more, it’s best for ported boxes. (And 6th order bandpass) If the EBP is 50 or less, it’s best for sealed boxes. (And 4th order bandpass) If the EBP is between 50 & 100, it will work in either style boxes. (And either style bandpass)EBP is 51.57.Will work fine for a 4th.And you should tune that a little higher. The tuning point for 4th orders differs from typical vented boxes. The tuning point is actually the low-pass point. It will be attenuating frequencies above tuning. I say tune it around 45hz. I've decided I wanna go with a port above my seats so I don't have to have them folded down all the time. This is the best picture I could get of my second row seat. I would like to have the port above the seats. Would that be a good idea or would that all depend on the box type
Raptorman
The 4th would be best for putting the port above the seats. But loading may get weird for the woofers. Can't say for sure. If you laid the woofers down horizontally. They would load a lot better. Because if you kept the woofers how they are now but had the port at the top, then the top two woofers would load into the port and the bottom two wouldn't. SPLadd1ct
E-series arn't suited for 4th orders? obviously whoever says that has no CLUE what they are talking about... #1: The t/s parameters say otherwise #2: I have heard several set ups in person using them in a 4th, and they sound awesome.
