Below are the specs for the V2s, I emailed them for the V3 specs but they haven't replied back so I just used the V2s specs. Hopefully it'll work. Aj11 Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 right off the Bat that's not enough Port for 2 15s. it's prefect for one 15 but not 2. for example a 15 sub usually likes 40-56 inches of port. so 4 4inch aero ports, 2 6s,or 1 8aero. the single 8 is what I'm running. but i haven't ran your measurements to see the size of the box yet. hold on. 7.2 cubes is a good size for 2 15s imo. i like big boxes. but i don't know your subs that well. I'm sure someone else will chime in and give a Lil more info on those subs. jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
islandpride684 Posted July 17, 2014 Author Report Posted July 17, 2014 Appreciate the reply bro, based on their website, 1 15 should be mated up to the equivalent of a single 6" round port which equals to 28.3 sq in. And it says do not exceed 30% of the surface area of the driver for the port. So I figured 58 sq in should be good for the 2 15s. Jessica Posted July 17, 2014 Report Posted July 17, 2014 30% of surface area would be 106sq inches Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. islandpride684 Posted July 17, 2014 Author Report Posted July 17, 2014 Let's say a surface area of 1 15 is 176. 30% of the sub's surface area is 52.8. Two subs will put that at 106 sq in. Just as long as my port area does not go past that I will be good? Build Log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186921-blk9te-07-yukon-slo-mo-build/page-3?hl=%2Bblk9te#entry2881410
slowfkncar Posted July 17, 2014 Report Posted July 17, 2014 Like AJ said, moar port! you are gonna have an incredibly flat and low output with crazy cone noise with 8 sq inches of port per cube. 80-105 sq. Inches of port will do or 14sq.inches per cube. Your choice.
