Triticum Agricolam
What kind of vehicle is this going in? What kind of power are you going to run? Are you looking for something more SPL oriented or more daily driver music? hoit
going in a 2007 chevy aveo ls sedan. interested in daily "slamming" music. running a saz3500v2 in a 1 ohm load. installing all at same time with Singer 220 amp alt.,big three 1/0, d3400 under the hood, d3400 in the trunk, and looking into a sax100.4 to run the mids/highs. looking into cutting a port in the rear deck as well. never done a 4th order, so pretty scared on trying it...slot ported looking better everyday! again, any comments/advice appreciated! 2007 Chevy Aveo Ls sedan 2 Sundown Xv2 on scv4k @ .5 ohm 2 pair RE XXX 6.5 components on sax200.4 @ 2 ohm Big Three, Three runs 1/0 power from front to back, 1 ground front to back Two runs ground from rear bank to chassis XS power d3100 upfront, 3 Odyssey 2150s in bank Singer 220 amp alt
slowfkncar
Do you have good experience building a ported enclosure instead? You don't have 7-8 cubes to spare for a 4th order. A standard ported with two x10's in the trunk should get you in the high 130's low low 140's at least. See the thing about doing 4th orders in the trunk usually requires you to hack up everything and build the box in your trunk which would probably take up all the trunk space. Your dimensions are a few cubes shy.
hoit
the last box I built was a sealed box...a LONG time ago! lol! I'm just doing as much research and homework as I can. haven't purchased new subs yet, so maybe one X10, or even a X12? ideally, I was looking to have 2 subs...but space is space...I do have more room to work with, but these dimensions FOR SURE will fit in through my trunk. the more I research, the more I seem to find 4ths as a "trial and error" enclosure...maybe you could refer me to someone, or yourself, who can design and sell me a blue print for a slot/kerfed enclosure? Keeping as many doors open as possible!
Triticum Agricolam
You have plenty of room for a pair of ported X-10s, and those will get louder than a single X-12. I can design a kerfed slot ported box for you if you want. hoit
^^do you think I could squeeze a couple X12s ? im only seeing like a 60 buck difference in a pair, so if I got the space and power, why not right? and id LOVE to get a design from ya Triticum! all of your work on facebook looks badass!! I might just pack it up for a road trip one day!
