Seth Touchet
Obsidian audio page calls for 2.5 - 3.75 cubic feet at 30 to 32 hz for 1 sub...idk how to add pics of the box details from my iphone... JoeX is the one who came up with it and suggested it... Its going to be 7 for both subs at 33 hz
ZAPCO209
I doubt he will get 2200 watts at two ohms. Set up sounds good, try it out if u get too much voltage drop then add an alt. By the way i run obsidian 18s and i love them very clean and have no problems playing the lows. What amp are you running on them.. I just want around 600-800 watts on each subwoofer so what amp should i use and im wiring both 2 ohm subs together to make a final 2 ohm impedence Ive been running two zapco reference 1000s for about a year now. Never had an issue just make sure gains are set properly with a dd1 or o-scope, those obsidians can take 1000rms if done properly. Seth Touchet
I was going with the aq2200 because most people says itl do rated power and more and thay its a top notch amp for the price if i upgrade my electrical like i should and il have room to upgrade to even bigger subwoofers later on and wire them to 1 ohm

Its going to be 7 for both subs at 33 hz That seems very small, and typically people underestimate how much displacement wood, bracing, and adequate size port will eat up. I operate under the assumption that many manufacturers "recommend" inadequate sized boxes to attract rookie buyers who are impressed with cone area into buying their subs. Good luck to you though. if you've already checked and double checked your dimensions and modeled out those subs and are happy with their predicted response in that alignment. Sutliff
1. You ill be fine on a stock alt with the AQ2200 at 2 ohms 2. Box sounds fine, but finer details of it would be helpful, like port area 3. Mixing batteries is not a good thing, but you can do it, like said, it will drain the AGM down to the wet cells float voltage and shorten its life span. Apparently the BATTs do not matter to him.
