Any suggestion is welcome
Joe X Posted July 26, 2014 Report Posted July 26, 2014 A stock alt on a 2200 sounds like trouble ahead, there's no details on the box so who knows, mixing batteries is also a controversial practice. I would keep gains low and get a voltage gauge and see how it goes.
ZAPCO209 Posted July 26, 2014 Report Posted July 26, 2014 I doubt he will get 2200 watts at two ohms. Set up sounds good, try it out if u get too much voltage drop then add an alt. By the way i run obsidian 18s and i love them very clean and have no problems playing the lows. THE DRIVING FORCE

slowfkncar Posted July 26, 2014 Report Posted July 26, 2014 Do not mix lead acid with agm batteries. It won't work properly without an isolator. And an isolator is a bad idea to begin with because diodes drop voltage. Just buy two of the same exact batteries.

I just want around 600-800 watts on each subwoofer so what amp should i use and im wiring both 2 ohm subs together to make a final 2 ohm impedence
ChevyBoy95 Posted July 26, 2014 Report Posted July 26, 2014 1. You ill be fine on a stock alt with the AQ2200 at 2 ohms 2. Box sounds fine, but finer details of it would be helpful, like port area 3. Mixing batteries is not a good thing, but you can do it, like said, it will drain the AGM down to the wet cells float voltage and shorten its life span. hispls Posted July 26, 2014 Report Posted July 26, 2014 I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the box is going to be too small to run a pair of 15's properly.
