4bannger
Incoming awesome pics, got it playing and it sounded great. Got much lower than my last build. But holy voltage drop I need an alt like yesterday. Bad news... At medium volume a woofer blew. Totally pissed. Unhook the blow sub and amp and the damn thing is way louder. Very confused. Possible u changed the impeadance and now it is at a lower ohmage and pushing more watts to the subs that are working or..the blown sub now acts as a passive radiator idk. Or maybe the fact that you have so much airspaxe for only two drivers..i would not bump hard til you get that sub replaced if i were you. You may overwork the suspensions on the two subs with all that airspace You need trunk space to get groceries and shit...bitches love groceries
daimer
Maybe you had it wired out of phase? And good work with the build! My humble build log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/192602-corsa-b-daily-build-with-12-ground-zero-new-box-in/ Single Zv4 Rev.2 15" on a 10k amp: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/201434-my-reviewtest-of-the-zv4-rev2-15/
4bannger
I double and triple checked all my wiring and nothing was out of place. Each sub was on its on amp which where bridged together. Gain was set considerably low because I expected the voltage go way down. And I always watch my voltage, second it goes down to low 12s I back it off. I'm going to try to contact the company and see if there is anything they can do for me
db_speakerbox
It could be the airspace. You can pull out the broken sub, displace the volume to match what you had for each sub and retest with the sub back in and see what happens. That way you know if it's the airspace or not. MrSkippyJ
Bad amp? How did you gain match the amps? Well right now only running the 1 sub until I get my batts and alt because my voltage. But I will try that
4bannger
Bad amp? How did you gain match the amps? Well as per the audiopipe manual I set my gain on the master amp and use a single rca between each amp. Similar to the data cable for amps that have a master and slave setting
MrSkippyJ
gotcha. still could be a bad amp though, have you ruled that out?
