Hmmmm this seems like a perfect time to break out the DD1 and the RTA and see put it on paper so it's known sort of like the other roundups that have been done in the past.

That's what I was thinking

But more op tune it to same then rta after each install and see the truth

Im used to being bashed on here by now. just go into a chat room and say your favorite brand and ten people will chime in to tell you your stuff is shit and that if youre not buying sundown youre not a real car audio fanatic. Excuse me for wanting to know specifics. When you say quality of parts well who has the highest quality? Ibleedmusick has been the best help inferring pioneer is the highest quality with kenwood and alpine still also being good choices. All I wanted was tangible differences between them besides "they all have unique sounds". So when I go to work, I'll just say they all sound different and I dont know why. That definitely sounds better than pointing out sales to customers. Customers at best buy who ask for discounts on a $120 radio. And who dont want to pay $65 for a radio install but also dont want to go on youtube for 20 minutes and figure it out for themselves. Best buy offers a plethora of training to all of their employees. I have utilized this to the best of my ability, however all they say is "our mixtrax is one of a kind!" and "24 variable illumination!" but at the end of the day I tell customers if you have a brand preference follow it, if not, get the best sale price for the unit that has all the features youre looking for. Like i said in my first post, my conscious is clear when it comes to selling. whether that be car audio, home theater, or appliances. Best buy may have a bad rep for their prices and their 16 year olds who dont give a fuck about their job, but i've been at best buy for a year and seen many stores and their employees.... Ill take my idiot team members over the jerks on this website any day. some of you were helpful. some of you just called me stupid and said i should lose my job because you could not point out real differences to me. Thanks

You told a customer you won't notice a difference you can't tell somebody that.are you going talk to a customer about s/n ratio slew rate distortion.no you'll make a customer confused ..all you can do is show them features and functions what they want if they don't know.what there options are for down the road.but by saying all decks are the same is wrong.you'll hear no difference

If you want to put an end to the debate buy all the models you are questioning, pop them open, and compare components. That seems to be the only way you will be happy. Post pics after you're done. :)

Anyone who needs that technical of information isn't looking for a lower end unit anyway. If they need that technical of information then they already know it.

The base sound between any of the units at a retail store (of any quality units) is going to be very similar anyway, so selling the features of the unit will be much more effective than trying to use details of technical information.

Some things that will be helpful to you are how the units will interact with how the customer will use it. For example, if they are using an Android phone then find a unit that works well with those. If they are using USB at all, know which units have quality D/A converters.

And this is how i approach every car audio sale. Features first. At the end of the day 99% of the customers will not tell the difference. Those who will are not shopping at best buy or require a higher end to suit their needs anyway. Thanks for seeing what I was saying and not just writing me off as ignorant.

Do you think there was even a chance he would spend more on damplifier than a head unit? Keep in mind this gentleman was rude from the first words he said to me to the last words he said to my manager who told him politely to fuck off
