GassenD
Right now I'm running 2 Sundown SA 15's and don't get me wrong GREAT subs, but I'm looking to handle the lows with authority. The SA's are on a SQ 2200D and they are in a 6.6 Cu Ft (net) box tuned to about 37hz. They handle the lows pretty good till about the 28hz mark then it just falls off. I was debating between these 2 options awhile back and decided to go with the SA's for SPL reasons since I wanted to get into competing a little bit and hit a 145.6 @ 45hz. Would I be better off just throwing the SA's into a lower tuned box or pull the trigger on the Sundown X 18 and throw it in a box tuned to 24-27hz? DylanBunch
You'll lose output going from 2 15s to an 18. Just build a new box for the Sa's tuned to like 30hz Quote 2006 Ford Explorer 2 Team AA/Sundown 15s 6th order Ct Sounds 7k 4 PRV Mr500 8s Rockford p1000-2 Team Subsonic Lows

DylanBunch
I wouldn't tune below 30 unless you just want a fun box that get low and only low, I had a box tuned at 28 and the output fell off greatly above 40 so I really only would play music under 30 lol you can still be pretty musical and play down to the mid 20s tuned to 30-32 Quote 2006 Ford Explorer 2 Team AA/Sundown 15s 6th order Ct Sounds 7k 4 PRV Mr500 8s Rockford p1000-2 Team Subsonic Lows

GassenD
I think I may just keep this box then save up for a Zv4 18.. Something to take more power if I plan to jump up to a q3500 later.. GassenD
#1 thing I hate about this damn hobby is how many times a day I change my mind. Thoughts on getting another Soundqubed 2200, and 2 more SA 15's. But I don't think I have enough room for 4 15's. If I did I think the box would have to be tall as hell, or I would have to wall at the C pillar.. Are C pillar walls worth it, I would do it at the B pillar but I'd rather keep my backseats until I decide to get another vehicle.
