Finally got the system metered; not to bad for 2 12's in a bandpass that wasn't SPL oriented. I hope to improve the score by getting an XS Power D3100 and a better head unit that puts out more than 1 volt lol!

I got a Rockford Fosgate P3 Shallow to cover the low end mid bass just for daily SQ. It sounds good for it's size!

Here it is installed into my custom box, the box is mounted into some unused space in the side of the car and is about .35 cuft.

Some pics of the box when I made it a few years back.

Beautiful work. Serious attention to detail.

I'm curious how the 8" will perform. I'd love to listen to a song I know well and be able to switch it on and off. It's just a very atypical placement, but the frequencies played by it should be non-directional and having some mid-bass should be better than no mid-bass.

I'd love to hear your feedback on playing your system with and without the 8" playing and whether or not you can hear a difference.

were in northern california are you? If youre close enough i need a demo

I live near Yuba City and I get around to Colusa, Sutter and Marysville a lot. I go to school in Chico, so if you are near any of these places I'd love to give you a demo!

Well the little 8" does decent. It is easily overwhelmed by the 12's and only is useful for daily/SQ listing. It isn't placed in the best spot but it was the only spot in the car; I'm not too worried about having it sound perfect. It does cover everything from about 45 to 120Hz which is fine because that's where I crossed over my door speakers. It has just enough kick that you can feel it and it adds nicely to all my music. With out it everything was dry sounding. I almost wish it had more output but I'm impressed nevertheless because it does help on the low end.
