Mr DeeBeez
I just purchased 2 Soundqubed HDC3 10s. I have a Rockford Fosgate p1000-1BD Amp that I will be using. My question is, would it be better to run both subs off of the amp, and have them only see around 600w a piece, or would it be better to use just one 10, and have it get the full 1000w untill I can upgrade to a bigger amp? the subs are 1500 RMS and 4500 peak a piece thank you for your input Fi Team 18's (4) Crossfire 16k Crossfire 400.4 & 800.4 Pioneer AVH-X491bhs 140ah cmax CES 320's (2)

gally
nothing wrong with underpowering the subs, as long as you dont clip them or bottom them up.. 2010 Chevrolet Cruze Radio --- pioneer mvh-200vbt Front/back --- alpine type s 6.5" Sub Control --- Pac LC1 Sub Amp --- GZPA 1.4K Sub --- GZNW 15XSPL D1 Battery - GZBP 12.2500X
Mr DeeBeez
ok. you dont think that being 1500w rms a piece, and only getting 600w rms that they will be not very loud? i wanna get the most output with the power i have right now Fi Team 18's (4) Crossfire 16k Crossfire 400.4 & 800.4 Pioneer AVH-X491bhs 140ah cmax CES 320's (2)
MrSkippyJ
Do you plan on buying a new, more powerful amp for your setup? If so just use both. Nobody can tell you which will be louder, just plan for the future and be happy with how it turns out. Mr DeeBeez
ok. i know it will take some testing to see for myself. just wondering if 2 under powered would be better than one at its full potential. thank you for your input. If you have two subs getting 1000 watts vs just one of the same subs getting 1000w the two subs together will definitely be louder.
