I'm talking about the screws on the back of that amp that hold the back piece of the amp on that covers the board. Not amp mounting screws

yep, thats probably were its coming from.Is elevated about an inch,so the fan can breath,and stops when i put my hand under there. I thought mounting amps,and vibrations was a myth? maybe i read it wrong.

I wouldnt say its a myth, blame it more on that amp back plate and screws holding it together being the weakest part of the amp. I had problems with those same screws on my 1200 watt setup when attached to the box raised a little to accomodate for air flow. Some of us open our amps to look at guts, already reducing the thread where those screws dig into. No matter how hard i tightened them i had the same problem until i put some small foam strips between amp and box. Never had a problem with the amp itself for years mounted on an enclosure. Just my .02

okay gotcha... why not use thread lock.. the blue one. i did open mine up and seeing this i will use the thread lock or even ca glue

I sealed up the leaky port a few weeks ago. been bored waiting on amps to come.rounded the corners also, to see if it helps.

got some high fidelity rca from dphz , and a custom distribution block for up front. Still working on finding that engine noise.

I got a temporary amp for the subs cause i couldn't take being without bass anymore. its only 600 rms, i didn't expect much out of it.

This is a picture of the dc 9k, i blew one of the mosfets. could have been from vibration,or that i was wired low. Im going to add some outside bracing to the box when it warms up, and i won't be wiring that low again.

How low were you wired?

wired at .37 voltage never dropped below 13.8,and the amp never even got warm. i think there was to much vibration, there was 5 screws missing off the bottom of the amp. also it went out while not even playing music, just popped when i started the truck one morning.

wired up the jbl at 1.2 ohms, and i must say i was impressed with only 600 rms.
