Dan247 Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 got a quick question for the TB guys or suv in general. I currently have 2 X15s on a DC 3.5 in a 4th order. They used to be in a Ram designs box but wanted to try a 4th and i was not happy with the results, lost out on alot of lows, was not designed by Ram either. Ram box was tuned to 32 hz and fired back at the hatch, want to go a lil lower on tuning and design it myself. Ive done alot of boxes with torres so that part isnt bad. Big question i have been debating is which way to fire the port, either back at the hatch or up into the cabin. I dont want to sacrifice any output by choking the ports or have them not loaded right. Anyone have any issues with the port firing up instead of back or vice versa. lookin to get the most out of the limited space i have. Thanks
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 Tried multiple box's both ways in a friends trailblazer got the most out box's that Were port firing to the rear. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
BassMunky Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 huh? Shakin not Stirred....my buildhttp://www.stevemead...ngle-cab-build/412 CVX And put a sealed enclosure in your trunk cut a hole in your deck and call it ported
Ahmed Johnson Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 I got my subs up port in the back. It turned out to be the best in mine, I had port up subs up and both facing the back and that was ok. I tried subs back port up and it wasn't as good. That's in my case
Dan247 Posted September 2, 2014 Author Report Posted September 2, 2014 thanks for the input, now just need to wait for payday for some wood
