It is a 2005 Volvo s60 D5 so it comes with the 185BHP 5cyl Diesel engine mated to a 6speed manual box, pretty good engine

It is fully loaded with all round leather seats - heated fronts, climate, cruise the works.

This replaces my old daily a Walled Ford Mondeo

That was my daily but as its died onto a new project

I was going to wall it but its just a bit too nice so the plan is to see what i can get from a boot install, A rundown of the kit i have to go in it below (most of this was bought for or came out of the Mondeo)

2 Ground Zero Nuclear 15inch woofers

1 Massive audio 3000.1 sub amp

4 Ground Zero 10inch PA mids

4 Ground Zero full range drivers

10 hawker Genesis batteries, here you can see me test fitting them in the volvo - they all fit in the wheel well and to the sides with the stock battery, ontop of these i have a Odessey pc1500 to replace the stock battery

And an Epicentre

So what i need at the moment

-Deadening

-Headunit (have a Clarion double din from my old car but want to fit a pioneer 80PRS instead for the flexible crossovers, this means i wont need to fit my dqx but dependong on fiances may stick with the Clarion)

-0AWG

So the plan is to mount the full range speakers on the dash, already done some testing to make sure they sound alright on the dash

In the boot i will fit the two subs in a 8cubic foot box firing into the cabin, the ports on the box will come out through the parcel shelf where the rear OEM speakers were. Everything will then be sealed from the boot so i am not loosing pressure into the boot

This will be a slow burn project due to money and the fact the car is rarely stopped long enough to work on it

jealous of the d5, would love to build a 245 with a d5 swap.

They are pretty good - tbh for the positioning testing i was running them free air using a phone as a source into an amplifier way too big for them but they still sounded pretty good. Treble was a bit harsh for me but im sure that can be sorted easily via an eq

Not started doing anything to the car but it has already started earning its keep

Now in a place called manchester in the UK someone set fire to a dog pound on purpose, 60 dogs died in the flames and the smoke, the news caused an outpouring of donations of money, food and supplies - http://dogshomefire.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/

So a charity near where i live (Leeds) needed to get some supplies from them to Manchester, so we loaded the car up - packed it well

A 15 year old was arrested and released on bail for starting the fire. I can't take any credit for collecting the stuff I just moved it where it needed to go

For once I was glad I had not started the stereo as it ment I had more room for supplies
