Well I just got off the phone with a guy that my friend recommended he told me he will do it for $575 with a shift kit in it and no torque converter..The thing is he wants me to pull it out and take it to him im not scared to do that ive done it before in older cars so I think im gonna have to jump on that....

It's probably $575 plus the cost of parts. But it does sound like a good deal.

First of all the $1850 is a good price but sometime you just dont have the dough to fish out so I understand. $570 is also good with you takin it out rebuilding. I charge about 600 for something like that. I would not put a shift kit in the tranny it usually puts more stress on the tranny and will lead to a shorter valve body life. If you are really interested in a High hp tranny get the real thing don't just use a shift kit. In my opinion get the tranny rebuild and when you put tranny back in get new axle seals and if you are not using new axle shaft clean them really good, trust me, dirty shaft will give you a hell of alot of problems. NEW QUESTIONS??

Well I got it back today good and ready to take me to work but now it idles high found out its the idle air control valve easy fix I want to go ahead and do a tune up what should I get taken care of..

1.spark plugs and wires

2.dist. cap and rotor

3.fuel filter

4.oil and filter

5.air filter

6.throttle body cleaner

am I missing anything??????

get an injector cleaner, my car idled kinda funny should help out.
