AstoSoup
So I got the subs in, sounds AMAZING! No meter yet, but I have no doubt I have finally hit 50's! The three 6" aeros are the sweet spot for these, got great output from 25-55Hz, very broad spectrum for sure! Have one problem though, my voltage is now dropping into the low 11's when it peaks :/ The little bit of AGMs that used to support the 1500RMS just cannot keep up with this beast amp lol. So until I get my new AGMs, looks like it's a slow break in! Don't need to be clipping.... Gain is just cracked a tiny bit, nearly off, and it's already slamming VERY happy with the results on this build so far! Came out really good and fits the vehicle really nice! Now that it's in the actual day light, you can see the sheen on the finish.... Front is just as shiny, just the way the light hits it. mrdavebasshead75
Thanks man, and I hear ya with the work and family thing lol.... I work local, but 40 hrs a week plus a 4 year old and a fiance, so my build is also slower than I would like. This was my first time using birch and I must say, I will NEVER use MDF again! Stronger, lighter, easier to work with, and can be kept wood grain I will have to check yours out, is it the link in your sig? I think I need to update it lol! I'm on mobile so I didn't notice the sig lmao!! But that's the old build I had in my Bravada! I have a build under Chrysler 300C sloowwwww build lol! http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/141026-2001-bravada-build-2-15supdated/?fromsearch=1 ----old build!! http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194247-2005-chrysler-300c-buildslowwwww-lol/ -----new build!! Still have a lot of work to do on my electrical, more AGM's, bigger alt. Can only run at short bursts right now because my voltage is dropping into the 10's :/ But even with low voltage, two 15's do a pretty decent hair trick! AstoSoup
Nice build man, don't think it's a 150 but I like it. =) Thanks man! And pretty close so far, but very limited on power due to the voltage problems... Subs can move a lot more, so I am thinking after some new batts and an alt, it will be 150's. A few people have told me for it to hair trick like that in an SUV, it must be close to 150... Will get metered as soon as more goodies come Head Unit - Clarion VX709 7" DVD Touchscreen Mid/Highs - Front Doors - RF Prime 6.5" component mids. A. Pillars - RF Punch component tweets. B.
