juan777
It would also help to know what subs you are talking about since all subs have different airspace requirements.I didn't think I would have to defend myself on a purely hypothetical question Please also read my initial post, I listed the subs in question there Why live in fantasy land? juan777
This is probably a bad example but here you go: That's a clam shell not a 4th order, I think you're in over your head with the 4th order idea http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4u0obx3frGY The L@zy Hoe 2005 Chevy Tahoe 2,500 Watts of Highs/Mids 4 10 midrange 4 6.5 midwoofers 4 Tweeters 6 Supertweeters 2 Lithium 80AH Batteries 24K Watts 4 Custom 18s Quad alt setup Rebuilt 250amp and 3 370s Interior work by Lone Star Auto Works The Build Log Like Loud Bass? SQL50
Pros of the 18s: cheaper, deeper bass, made of a higher quality, simpler install, smaller enclosure... pros of the 15s: more spl because of the significant increase in cone area (if were talking about 16 of them).. cons of 18s: not as much spl as the 15s, may not be as responsive as 15s (slower) (but all depends on install) cons of the 15s: deep bass but not as deep as 18s (in most typical situations, depends on install) significantly larger enclosure, quality of subs not as good as hdc4s, a lot more costly, more difficult build.. there's lots of variables.. this is just a starting point of consideration, it depends on what you want out of your system.
