TRON Posted October 21, 2014 Report Share Posted October 21, 2014 Honestly, When it comes to getting the cleanest sound, the speakers are probably the second thing on my mind. What is more important is the setup. How well the doors are prepared and how well you can tune your sound, and also, the source audio....because shitty mp3s wont help. I have a pair of Alpine Type S comps, 75w a side and the clarity is amazing, even at max volume. But my doors a double layer with deadened inner and outer, I have speaker baffles that basically make a small enclosure for the mid bass driver, the door panel has a layer of insulation, my amplifier is set with properly, and then I used an RTA to adjust my EQ. So with all of that work, I'll argue that my set of $120 speakers sound pretty damn good.
