running volt meters at the amps or alt/batt.?

Hey guys for my build here which is a few weeks out from being done, I have a question about where to run my dual volt meters. My original thought was one for each of my sub amps(2x kx2400.1s) up on the center console just to see where the final voltage is being displayed. I just saw a video of a guy running two of his volt meters in the console and he had one for the alt reading and one for his battery reading i assume the one by the amp not sure. Which would you guys recommend as a better option. I also want to mention i have a few other items here that are gonne be ran. From my alt i have a xs vcm then i will run through my kicker front stage which is like an epicenter than i have a kicker kq5 to run in the mix as well as these 2 volt meters. There only cheap stingers but i plan to run them so whats your thoughts? thanks

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

The answer simply is what voltage do you want to monitor.

I have two the first is at the battery in the front the second is at the sub amp.

If you have one at the front battery and have done the big 3 then by default you will be seeing what your alt is doing as there should only be a bout 3 feet of cable between the two. the second meter allows for monitoring the input of the 2nd item. the main thing to look for is the difference between the two readings as this will tell you if there is an issue between the two points.

I would put it in the amps.

2017 Chevrolet Silverado LT CC - Will be running 2-3 DC Audion M3 8s, unsure of amp, Mechman 320 amp alt.

2005 Ford F150 - Bagged on 24s, fully shaved, raised bed floor.

ya i like the amps idea because if they are seeing the low voltage then i can monitor better i feel. my vcm will be open and visible and should be an accurate alt reading and i assume the batts would charge at what that displays hopefully.
