Ok guys,

a buddy of mine have a dd1 and he came and tune my deck and amp.

Ok.. he hook his dd1 to the rca of my deck(Pioneer AVH-X4600BT) my deck start to distortion at volume 38/40 on D'Amore cd track 2.

My amp(DD M2b), with the volume @ 38/40 on D'Amore cd track 7 and set the gain right before the meter show clipping, but the DD bass knob clip indicator is flashing. So am I suppose to tune my amp with it the bass knob? When I unplug the bass knob, the dd1 clip stay lit. So am I doing it wrong??

Tune with the -5 track, maybe -10 track if you want to push it and will back the volume down if things don't sound good. I never use -15 personally.

Did you turn your "knob" up to full when you set the gain?

And as said above, never use the -15 track.

Yea. I set my knob about half way and on the gain, its at about 11 o'clock.

Ok, on my deck. I set everything on flat, everything turn back to default setting and use the dd1 to tune my amp. After its tuned, I start to adjust my deck to where I had it before and its clipping. Am I suppose to tune with everything on default setting on my deck or am I supposed to tune my amp with the setting I have on my deck before the tune?

^^^^. You're supposed to read and follow the supplied instructions. Asking this question, I can tell you haven't.

the manual states to set everything flat. I'm going to say that from the 1.21 gigathreads i have seen you should just set your deck how you want, turn your bass knob all the way up. Play track 1 and check the deck at the amplifier speaker terminals with the gain all the way down and bass boost off.

Then use track 3 and set the gain on the amp.

two steps, easy peasy.
