CleanSierra
I hate these threads. Build for you, not someone else. There's no such thing as ground pounder on a budget. Not what I'D consider a Ground Pounder at least. Ground Pounder is a relative term. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you. CleanSierra
Buy your equipment»»»then ask for enclosure suggestions. Figure out how much airspace you have our want to sacrifice FIRST to figure out size and quantity of subs to buy. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you. Jeff4661
Ok so if I understand everything correctly it is better to buy a few good subs than a lot of cheap ones? From doing A little thinking id really like to run 8 12s in a ported enclosure 6 subs firing up 2 forward... Box is to be 40" wide 35" long and less than or equal to a max Hight of 32" I figured probably 1-2 cubes a sub tuned to 33hz Current build 05 Yukon SLT http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/195350-jeffs-05-yukong-wall-build/
Broke_Audio_Addict
Am I missing something here if you already have the hdc3 15's why not just stick with those? It's not like they are any less budget friendly than the 8 12's idea. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. CleanSierra
Why wouldn't you use the full width of the interior between the trim panels? It is 48" you should have safely. CleanSierra
32" of height is a wall. Have you measured anything in your Yukon? Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
Jeff4661
32" of height is a wall. Have you measured anything in your Yukon? Yes I have and I'm just giving those dimensions as a max.. also I am leaving 8" for the 4 AGM BATTERIES that are currently in my Yukon I appreciate everyones opinions. It seems I'm getting more grief than anything for a budget build. Money isn't really an issue for me I just wanted to take on a budget challenge is all I set the cap at $500 Bcs it seems like a reasonable budget for 8- 12s Current build 05 Yukon SLT http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/195350-jeffs-05-yukong-wall-build/
