the real question is how much do you really use balance and fade? which is never. any 5 channel that has a switchable input is fine.

if nothing changes, nothing changes

using 2 amps won't solve your fading issue either. The problem is you have 4 channels of independent output and you want 5 (or 6). I would personally go with the 5 channel option over the Planet Audio option if it were me.

Isn't my car. So, I don't know how much he uses balance and fade. I know he doesn't mess with is a whole lot if any at all. I don't want to ask him because this is a Christmas gift. Trying to figure out what to buy. Maybe just go with the 5 channel and split the read channel, set the fade and balance, and then set the subs. Don't touch it after that to avoid gain imbalances?

Never heard of a switchable input on an amp.

Aight, I just though maybe there would have been a way to expand my RCA sections with an external device to get a sub stage.

Just got off of online chat with a car audio company.

The preamp outs on an amp (if they have them) push an unaffected fullrange signal. Works as a passthough from the radio RCAs regardless if the amp has a crossover set or the fading or balance has been changed from center.

Sooooooooo... Pioneer 4 channel RCAs output > VX3004 input > VX3004 preamp out > VX3002 input. badabing, badaboom.

a pass through from the input...

if the input has no signal, it doesn't pass anything through.

Still won't work.

Shit, thats right. Balance and fade from the deck, not the amp. Well, I guess we're just plugging up the highs until further notice
